Train stations in Paris

Train routes to and from Paris

Before you travel

Paris rail trips usually depend on the direction of travel and the named terminal. Paris Gare du Nord is the first station to check for many northern and international journeys, but it is not a catch-all station for every Paris train.

Treat Paris station choice as part of the route, not just the city name. Different Paris terminals serve different corridors, so check the exact station in the timetable before planning a cross-city transfer.

Gare means station in French. Keep the full name, such as Gare du Nord or Gare de Lyon, because using only Paris can hide an awkward transfer between separate terminals.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the Eurostar terminal inside Paris Gare du Nord?

For London trains, follow the UK-flag signs to Hall 2 and the first-floor balcony above the main concourse. The escalators opposite platform 17 and the lifts opposite platforms 9 and 10 lead up to Eurostar departures. Continental Eurostar trains use the main concourse, so follow the destination signs rather than assuming every Eurostar leaves from the London terminal.

What luggage is included with an OUIGO ticket in France?

OUIGO Essentiel includes one small bag up to 40 x 30 x 15 cm and one cabin bag up to 55 x 35 x 25 cm. OUIGO Plus also includes one extra or bulky item, subject to its size and weight limits. Before paying, check the fare's current included luggage allowance. Add an option if your bag exceeds it.

Do Paris to Normandy trains need a seat reservation?

Krono and Krono+ trains between Paris and Normandy require a reservation. This includes the main Paris routes towards Caen, Cherbourg, Rouen, Le Havre, Deauville and Granville. Intra-Normandy rules can differ, so check the train name and journey shown on the ticket rather than treating every NOMAD service alike.

Can I take a bicycle on a TGV from Paris?

On a TGV INOUI with bicycle spaces, an undismantled bike needs a €10 reservation bought with the passenger ticket. A folded or dismantled bike in a bag no larger than 90 x 130 x 50 cm travels free. Select the bicycle option when searching, then confirm the current fee and allowance before paying. No result means no compatible space remains.

Which Paris station should I use for Disneyland Paris?

From central Paris, take RER A to its Marne-la-Vallée-Chessy terminus, beside Disneyland Paris. The journey is around 40 minutes from the centre. Some TGV INOUI and OUIGO trains also call at Marne-la-Vallée-Chessy, so check whether a direct arrival there is more useful than travelling into a central Paris terminal first.
