Paris to Bruges by train
No direct train: Eurostar from Paris Nord to Brussels-Midi, then an SNCB InterCity to Brugge. About 2 hours 45 minutes in total.

No train runs direct from Paris to Bruges. You change once at Brussels-Midi, and the whole trip takes about 2 hours 45 minutes.
Eurostar to Brussels, then SNCB to Brugge
Eurostar trains, the former Thalys, leave Paris Nord for Brussels-Midi for most of the day, often twice an hour, with a thinner spell in the early afternoon. They take about 1 hour 22 minutes. At Brussels-Midi you switch to a direct SNCB InterCity for Brugge, which takes about an hour.
The Belgian leg is easy. SNCB runs around 65 trains a day from Brussels to Bruges, and the ones you want are usually signed Oostende or Knokke. Connections at Brussels-Midi are often around 20 minutes, with no second passport check: walk to the end of the platform, into the main hall, and find your platform on the departure boards.
On weekdays the trip runs from about 2 hours 35 minutes to 3 hours, depending on how the two trains connect. At weekends, when fewer Belgian trains run, allow about 3 hours, or up to about 3 hours 25 minutes with a long wait at Brussels-Midi. On the weekends of 28 to 29 November and 5 to 6 December 2026, engineering works in France cancel some Eurostar trains to Brussels and slow the rest, so the trip to Brugge takes about 3 hours to 3 hours 25 minutes.
Booking Eurostar and SNCB together
Book both trains in one go on Eurostar's website or app by choosing Bruges as your destination. The old Any Belgian Station ticket has gone. Eurostar Standard tickets from Paris to Brussels start from €29 one way, and the SNCB ticket to Brugge is added on top. Eurostar sells three classes: Standard, Plus and Premier.
The SNCB ticket is valid on any train to Brugge on your travel date. If your Eurostar runs late, just take the next one. If a Eurostar delay makes you miss the last train of the day, ask the Eurostar train manager for proof of delay and travel the next day at no extra cost. SNCB tickets can be exchanged or refunded free up to and including the day before departure. The two legs are separate contracts, so any delay compensation comes from whichever operator ran late.
Via Lille instead
A slower route skips Eurostar altogether: TGV INOUI from Paris Nord to Lille Flandres, a regional train to Kortrijk, then an SNCB InterCity to Brugge. It takes a little over 3 hours with two changes. Use it only when Eurostar is sold out or expensive on your date.
With an Interrail pass
Pass holders must reserve Eurostar. The pass-holder fare between Paris and Belgium is €27 in Standard and, with a first class pass, €32 in Plus, and places are limited, so reserve as soon as your dates are fixed. The SNCB InterCity from Brussels to Brugge needs no reservation.
Arriving in Brugge
Trains pull into Brugge, the main station, about 1.5 km from the centre. The Markt is roughly a 20-minute walk, or take De Lijn bus 1 or 2 from outside the station. Bruges-Saint-Pierre (Brugge-Sint-Pieters) is a different, smaller stop. If a booking page offers both, choose Bruges (Brugge).
