Frequently asked questions

Which stations do TPC trains leave from?

Three of the four TPC lines, to Leysin, Les Diablerets, and Champéry, start at Aigle, on the main Lausanne to Brig line. The fourth, to Villars and Bretaye, starts one stop away at Bex, so check your line before assuming Aigle is the right connection.

Do TPC trains and buses use one ticket?

Yes. TPC is part of Mobilis, the Vaud cantonal fare zone system, so a single ticket priced by zone covers TPC trains, TPC buses and the other public transport operators in the network. Ticket machines and the mobile app calculate the cheapest fare for your route automatically.

Can I bring a bike on TPC trains?

Yes, space permitting, on all four TPC train lines, with a discounted bike ticket. On buses it depends on the route: three lines require bikes to go on a rear rack, and that rack carries skis instead between 15 December and 15 April, so bikes cannot travel on those three bus lines in winter.

What currency do TPC tickets use?

Swiss francs (CHF) only. Fares are not sold or quoted in euros or any other currency.
