MBC, short for Transports de la region Morges Bière Cossonay, runs the regional trains and buses connecting Morges, Bière and Cossonay in canton Vaud.
MBC train lines
MBC runs two named regional trains: the R56 between Bière and Morges, and the R57 between Apples and L'Isle. A funicular, line 2003, links Cossonay-Ville with Cossonay-Penthalaz, connecting the hill town to the main rail line below. It's a quick way to reach Cossonay-Ville without a car. Alongside these, MBC runs 15 bus lines across the Morges agglomeration, plus a dedicated fleet of school bus services.
Buying a Mobilis ticket
MBC fares sit inside Mobilis, the tariff brand of the Communaute tarifaire vaudoise (CTV), a partnership of 13 public transport companies across canton Vaud. One Mobilis ticket or subscription covers every mode you use inside your chosen zone or zones for its period of validity. You don't need a separate ticket each time you switch from train to bus.
From 15 zones, a ticket or day card gives free travel across all 140 Mobilis zones in the canton, and from 12 zones a season ticket does the same. If your trip already crosses that many zones, buying the wider ticket can work out simpler than tracking exact zone counts. Reduced fares apply to half fare card holders and to children aged 6 to 15.

Practical notes
SMS tickets for 1 or 2 zones are valid for 1 hour. Day cards run from the moment of purchase until 5am the following morning, so a late train home is still covered. MBC also runs Audioguides MBC and the Train des saveurs sightseeing service alongside its regular commuter timetable.
