Frequently asked questions

Is POLREGIO the same as PKP Intercity?

No. POLREGIO runs regional and agglomeration REGIO trains, separate from PKP Intercity's national IC and EIC long-distance network, though POLREGIO does honor certain PKP Intercity network season tickets.

What is the difference between REGIO, interREGIO and superREGIO?

REGIO trains are POLREGIO's standard regional and agglomeration services. interREGIO is a faster, limited-stop service between Łódź and Warsaw. superREGIO is a seasonal service between Kraków and Zator, aimed at day trips to Energylandia.

Can I use a PKP Intercity ticket on a POLREGIO train?

POLREGIO honors PKP Intercity network season tickets (INTERCITY Cards) and SCIC international fares. Between 30 March and 12 December 2026, it also honors single-journey PKP Intercity tickets on a defined stretch around Gdańsk and Gdynia.

How do I buy a POLREGIO ticket?

POLREGIO tickets are sold at station ticket offices, POLREGIO ticket vending machines, through the POLREGIO mobile app, on the operator's website, on board from the conductor, and at more than 400 Kolporter kiosks.
