Koleje Małopolskie is the regional passenger rail operator for the Małopolskie voivodeship, wholly owned by the regional self-government and headquartered in Kraków. It has held a passenger rail licence since 23 June 2014.
Where the trains run
The company's first route connected Wieliczka Rynek-Kopalnia with Kraków Główny. Over the following decade it added routes to Kraków-Balice airport, Miechów, Sędziszów, Tarnów, Nowy Sącz, Krynica-Zdrój, Zakopane and Jasło, and since December 2021 also to Trzebinia, Oświęcim and Skawina. A weekend cross-border service between Muszyna and Poprad in Slovakia has run since 2018 through cooperation with the Slovak side.
Fleet and scale
The fleet comprises more than 30 electric multiple units, including EN64, EN77, EN76B, EN78, EN78A, EN79 and EN79A types, running 190 train journeys a day.
Feeder buses (MLD)
Małopolskie Linie Dowozowe (MLD) is the operator's feeder bus network, connecting smaller towns to rail stations across the region. The network has grown to 75 bus lines covering every county in the voivodeship, timed to connect with train departures; the operator's own pages put the daily vehicle count at either 80 or 112 depending on the page.

Tickets, priced in PLN, are sold through the operator's own channels as well as through the e-Podróżnik, Jakdojade, KOLEO, mPay, Kiedy Przyjedzie and Bilkom platforms.
