Direct TER trains from Nice to Monaco take 22 to 25 minutes, with fares around €4 to €7. No reservation needed. Trains run roughly every 15 to 30 minutes from Nice-Ville throughout the day.
The Catania to Palermo train takes around 3 hours 30 minutes to 4 hours with Trenitalia. Regional fares from around €13; Intercity from around €18. Around 9 daily services. The bus is often faster, so compare both before you book.
London has 17 terminal stations and 20+ rail operators. Eurostar reaches Paris in 2 hours 15 minutes from St Pancras. Domestic advance fares from £2.25.
No direct Geneva to Zermatt train. Change at Visp for the MGB. Journey takes 3 to 3.5 hours. Swiss Travel Pass covers both legs; Interrail does not cover MGB.
Direct trains run roughly every 30 minutes from Munich to Salzburg. Railjets take around 1 hour 28 minutes. Sparpreis fares start from around €17.99. The RE5 regional train accepts the Bayern-Ticket from €34.
How to travel from Berlin to Paris by train. The daily direct ICE takes around 8 hours from Berlin Hbf to Paris Gare de l'Est. For an overnight option, the European Sleeper night train runs three times a week. Covers tickets, Interrail reservations, and which Paris station to aim for.
High-speed trains connect Madrid and Barcelona in 2h30 (Renfe AVE) or 3h (Ouigo, Iryo). Fares from €9. Eurail pass holders need a mandatory seat reservation.
Travelling from Bristol to Amsterdam by train takes around seven to eight hours across two trains and a cross-London transfer. You take GWR to London Paddington, transfer to St Pancras International (allow at least 60 minutes), and board Eurostar direct to Amsterdam Centraal in approximately 4 hours 19 minutes. A passport is required for Eurostar.
Direct trains from Valencia to Barcelona take around 2 hours 40 minutes. Renfe runs 9 to 14 services daily. Check your departure station before you book.
Direct ICE trains connect Amsterdam Centraal and Berlin Hauptbahnhof in around 5 hours 42 minutes, with six departures daily. Advance tickets start from €37.99 in second class. Seat reservations are compulsory from 26 June to 31 August 2026.
Direct Avanti West Coast trains connect Glasgow Central and London Euston in around 4 hours 30 minutes. LNER runs to King's Cross via Edinburgh Waverley. Advance fares start from around £25. The Caledonian Sleeper runs overnight.
No direct trains run from London to Rome. The journey takes around 14 hours via Paris, with two changes: Eurostar to Paris, then a high-speed train to Milan or Turin, then an Italian high-speed train to Rome. Fares from around £39 for Eurostar, from €29 for the Paris to Milan leg.
London to Geneva by train requires one change in Paris. Eurostar to Paris Gare du Nord (around 2h20m), then TGV Lyria to Geneva Cornavin (around 3h05m). Fastest connections take approximately 6 hours 30 minutes total.
There is no direct train from London to Barcelona. The journey takes two legs: Eurostar from London to Paris, then TGV from Paris to Barcelona Sants. Total around 9 to 10 hours with a Paris station change.
London to Berlin by train takes around 9 to 11 hours with two changes: Eurostar to Brussels Midi, then ICE3neo to Cologne and ICE to Berlin Hauptbahnhof. No direct train exists.
Direct trains run between Málaga María Zambrano and Sevilla-Santa Justa in around 2 hours. Renfe operates the route with AVE and Avant services covering the 156 km corridor.
London to Paris by Eurostar in around 2 hours 16 minutes. Direct from St Pancras to Gare du Nord. Around 16 daily departures. Advance fares from around £35.
No direct train from Barcelona to Lisbon, and no train between Madrid and Lisbon either. The route combines a high-speed train to Madrid with an Alsa coach.
