Travelling with a bike
Greater Anglia has over 10,000 cycle spaces at its stations, and taking a bike on the train is free with no reservation needed on most services. The exception is Intercity trains to Norwich and London, where six bike spaces exist but must be booked in advance. Full-size bikes are turned away from trains arriving at or leaving Cambridge, Liverpool Street or Stratford during specific weekday peak windows, so check the timing before you travel with one at rush hour. The Stansted Express does not carry full-size bikes at any time. For a small yearly fee, secure cycle storage is available at a number of stations if you leave a bike there regularly.
