Direct trains are the normal pattern on this corridor. When the direct timetable does not suit your date, a slower or connecting itinerary adds time or a change; allow for that if you have an onward connection in Naples.

Both operators provide onboard Wi-Fi. Frecciarossa also offers FrecciaPlay, with digital entertainment and magazines. For this short journey, departure time, fare conditions, and the stations on the ticket matter more than small differences in onboard service.

If your final destination is outside central Naples, plan that onward leg from Napoli Centrale.

Use the station printed on your ticket, especially when a connecting itinerary uses another station or when you are arriving from an airport or another Italian train.

Selected Italo fares start at €14.90 for Rome to Naples. The lowest price is not available on every train, so book once your date is firm if you want the widest choice. Prices depend on the departure, booking time, fare type, and remaining seats.
