St. Moritz Bahnhof is the station for St. Moritz, below the village of St. Moritz Dorf. Rhätische Bahn (RhB) trains from Chur, Tirano and Scuol-Tarasp end here, and the Glacier Express and Bernina Express start here.

Which station to use

All trains for St. Moritz arrive at St. Moritz Bahnhof: the Albula line from Chur, the Bernina line from Tirano and the Engadin line from Scuol-Tarasp. The village centre around Schulhausplatz is higher up, so a bus helps if you carry luggage.

The station has a staffed counter open daily from 07:30 to 18:30 and a left-luggage office open daily from 08:15 to 18:15. Lockers cost CHF 5 to 8 and stay open day and night.

From the station to the village

Engadin Bus lines 601 and 605 leave the stop St. Moritz, Bahnhof together about every 15 minutes from about 06:30 to 20:15 and reach St. Moritz, Schulhausplatz in the village in 4 to 5 minutes; line 610 takes over in the evening. Line 601 carries on to St. Moritz Bad and Silvaplana. These times are for the autumn timetable, which runs until 27 November 2026. On foot, the passage through the Serletta car park (the St. Moritz Design Gallery) leads from the station towards Badrutt's Palace Hotel in the village. The stop St. Moritz, Serlas is closed from 7 September to 4 December 2026 because of construction, so use Schulhausplatz. From St. Moritz Dorf, the funicular to Chantarella and Corviglia opens for winter on 28 November 2026.

A single ticket from the station to Schulhausplatz is one zone and costs CHF 3.00 (valid for 1 hour); a 24-hour card for the zone costs CHF 6.00. Tickets are valid on Engadin Bus, the St. Moritz town bus, PostAuto and RhB. Buy them from the ticket machines, at the station counter, or in the SBB, öV Plus or FAIRTIQ app.

Trains to Chur and Zürich

Times are as of November 2026, for the timetable that runs to 12 December. The Chur and Tirano trains keep the same pattern from 13 December 2026.

An InterRegio leaves St. Moritz every hour from 07:05 to 19:05 and reaches Chur in just under 2 hours. A regional express leaves at 05:39 (05:59 on Sundays and holidays) and another at 20:05, with a last one at 21:02 on Fridays and Saturdays, each taking about 2 hours. Trains from Chur reach St. Moritz until 22:58.

No train runs through from Zürich. Change at Chur; the whole trip takes about 3 hours 15 minutes.

Works: until 13 November 2026, buses replace trains between Thusis and Preda. Trains from St. Moritz stop at Preda, and times change, so allow extra time.

The Bernina line runs through Pontresina to Tirano in Italy. The RE9 leaves every two hours from 08:48 to 16:48 and takes about 2 hours 15. Regular trains to Chur, Pontresina, Samedan and Tirano need no reservation; RhB sells an optional reservation on the Bernina line for CHF 5. A Global Pass or One Country Pass Switzerland covers RhB from Thusis to St. Moritz and from St. Moritz to Tirano. The Trenord train from Tirano to Milan needs a pass that covers Italy, such as the Global Pass.
