Frequently asked questions

What is Zubačka?

Zubačka is the brand behind nostalgic rack-locomotive rides, historic railcars and a railway museum on the Tanvald to Harrachov line, the steepest railway in Czechia. Everyday scheduled trains on the line are run separately by Czech Railways (ČD).

How do I get to the Zubačka railway?

Take a regular ČD train from Liberec toward Tanvald, Harrachov and Szklarska Poręba, and get off at Kořenov station, or use IDOL bus routes 747 or 541111 to the same stop.

Can I ride the rack locomotive every day?

No. The rack-locomotive rides, historic railcars and steam trains run as special services on set dates rather than a daily timetable, and those dates change through the year.

How much does the Kořenov railway museum cost?

Museum admission is CZK 60 full price and CZK 40 reduced. A combined ticket with the Kořenov locomotive depot costs CZK 120 full price and CZK 70 reduced.
