A direct [Eurostar](<https://everyrail.com/united-kingdom/eurostar/>) takes about two hours from [Brussels](<https://everyrail.com/belgium/brussels/>) to [London](<https://everyrail.com/united-kingdom/london/>), with passport, security and UK border checks completed before boarding in Brussels.

## Brussels to London train at a glance

| Detail | What to expect |
| --- | --- |
| Fastest listed journey | About 1 hour 57 minutes |
| Typical operator journey | 2 hours 1 minute |
| Departure station | Bruxelles-Midi / Brussel-Zuid, Brussels |
| Arrival station | London St Pancras International |
| Direct service | Several Eurostar departures on many dates; frequency varies |
| Starting fare | From £39 one way on selected departures |
| Route | Direct through the Channel Tunnel |

Eurostar runs direct city-centre trains through the Channel Tunnel. The shortest listed journey is about 1 hour 57 minutes, while the operator's headline journey time is 2 hours 1 minute. Stops, engineering work and the timetable can change the total, so connection planning should use the booked departure for your date.

## Departing from Bruxelles-Midi

Your ticket may call the Brussels station Bruxelles-Midi, Brussel-Zuid or Brussels Midi / Zuid. These names refer to the same international station. Eurostar uses its Channel Terminal, separate from the station's domestic platforms, with terminal processing, security and border-control areas before the train.

The departure process takes longer than a domestic departure. The passport and other documents required for your nationality and journey must be ready, and Eurostar's Advance Passenger Information must be completed before travel. Identity, security and UK border checks take place in Brussels, so all of them are completed before boarding. Current UK entry requirements apply to the journey.

## Arriving at London St Pancras

Eurostar arrives at London St Pancras International, in central London. Underground lines, buses and taxis make it easy to continue into the city. Since UK border checks normally happen before departure in Brussels, you can usually leave the station on arrival without another routine border-control queue.

A connection to King's Cross or another London terminal needs walking time between stations, as well as time to reach the platform shown on the onward ticket. A scheduled Eurostar arrival is not the same as the time you will be ready for an onward departure.

## Tickets, fares and classes

One-way Brussels to London fares start at £39 on selected Eurostar trains and dates. The date, departure and remaining availability determine the fare, while the ticket's exchange and refund conditions determine how much flexibility you have.

Standard is the practical choice for most city-centre trips. Under Eurostar's current conditions, Standard and Plus allow up to two pieces of luggage and one small daypack. Plus adds more space and a light meal at your seat, while Premier includes lounge access, priority gates and a more extensive onboard meal. Wi-Fi and power sockets are available across the current classes. Unusually large luggage is subject to the fare conditions.

## Travel-day planning

The ticket carries the departure and arrival stations, fare conditions and recommended arrival time. Advance Passenger Information must be completed before travel, and a London connection needs a margin rather than a booking against the scheduled Eurostar arrival alone.
