Cannes station is the main rail arrival point for the city. It is at 1 Rue Jean Jaurès in central Cannes, a few hundred metres from the Palais des Festivals and the Croisette. Cannes-La Bocca is a separate station about 3 km west, so the station printed on your ticket matters when you are heading for the centre.

## Which Cannes station should you use?

Choose Cannes for the Palais des Festivals, the Croisette and the central city. TGV INOUI and OUIGO high-speed trains to Paris call here, and so do the TGV INOUI trains to Marseille and Lyon. The station has live train information, mainline and regional ticket machines, a ticket office, lifts and a free assistance service for passengers with reduced mobility. The station building keeps different hours from day to day, but the platforms stay open from the first train to the last.

Cannes-La Bocca is at 2 rue Louis Armand. It is a small stop on the same coastal line, served only by local ZOU! regional trains. It has a ticket machine but no ticket office. For central Cannes, take the next train towards Cannes, Nice, Monaco, Menton or Ventimiglia. Cannes station is the next stop, less than 5 minutes away.

## Trains to Cannes

Cannes is served by TGV INOUI and OUIGO high-speed trains, the Intercités de Nuit night train to Paris Austerlitz, and ZOU! regional trains along the Côte d'Azur. Only the local stopping trains call at Cannes-La Bocca. High-speed trains, the night train and the faster regional trains to Marseille stop at Cannes alone.

Along the coast, regional trains run several times an hour for most of the day. Antibes is about 10 minutes away and Nice 30 to 40 minutes. Marseille Saint-Charles is about 2 hours away, with around 20 direct trains a day, mostly ZOU! regional trains with a few TGV INOUI. Direct TGV INOUI and OUIGO trains reach Paris Gare de Lyon in about 5 hours 20 minutes, and journeys with a change take about an hour longer. Direct TGV INOUI trains reach Lyon Part-Dieu in about 4 hours. For Aix-en-Provence Centre station, allow about 3 hours 10 minutes with a change at Marseille Saint-Charles.

## From the station into Cannes

From Cannes station, the Palais des Festivals and the Croisette are a few hundred metres away on foot. If you would rather ride, Palm Bus lines 4, 6A, 6B, 12 and 21 run from the station forecourt to the Hôtel de Ville stop in the centre. The City Palm shuttle, which stops close by on Rue du Maréchal Foch, also runs to the Hôtel de Ville from Monday to Saturday in the daytime. A single bus ticket costs €1.80 from the driver or by bank card on board, and a day ticket for the shuttle costs €0.90 in cash.

From Cannes-La Bocca, trains on to Cannes station run roughly once an hour. Between trains, Palm Bus lines 1 and 2 and the Palm Express A call at the Sainte-Marguerite stop on Avenue Francis Tonner, which serves the station. Each runs about every 10 to 15 minutes in the daytime from Monday to Saturday, less often on Sundays, and reaches the Hôtel de Ville in about 15 minutes before continuing to Cannes station.

## Rail passes and reservations

With an Interrail or Eurail pass, ZOU! regional trains between Marseille and Nice need no reservation, so a pass covers them with nothing extra to pay. TGV INOUI needs a compulsory reservation of €10 to €20 in either class, as of October 2026. OUIGO high-speed trains are included in the pass, with a compulsory reservation of €10 to €20 and one travel class. The Intercités de Nuit is included too, and its compulsory reservation costs €10 for a reclining seat or €19 to €25 for a couchette berth. Passes do not cover Palm Bus city buses or the City Palm shuttle.
